Chimneys require maintenance and made need repointing (if the chimney breast is damp) or reducing if the chimney is no longer used. We fit bird cages to chimney pots to prevent nesting and do have this worked carried out before spring but if this isn’t possible it is a good idea to provide an alternative nesting site on your property or land.
Lead has a variety of natural properties which make it very suitable for roof coverings. Lead is heavy but soft and can be easily shaped, molded or formed. It is highly resistant to corrosion and looks attractive and weathers well over time.
