Over time and because of wear and tear pitched roof surfaces can leak and if left unchecked further damage to the property can occur. Straightforward repair work can often fix the problem but sometimes the damage is more extensive and partial or a full reroof is required. In either circumstance we have experienced roofers to repair or replace your slate or tile roof.
Pitched roofs are covered with either slates or tiles and secured with nails. Existing cover, price and material preference often determine which is used.
Slates – Have an excellent lifespan and have been used on roofs for hundreds of years and it is likely that the nails that hold the slates in place will need replacing before the slates themselves.
Slates are either natural slate (Random Stone, Spanish, Welsh or Westmorland & Burlington) or man-made slates (cement). Natural slates are available in various sizes and colours but bare only available in their natural colours. Man-made slates also come in a variety of sizes and colours.
When needed and possible we use reclaimed slates for repairs or reroofs. Our slating work covers:

Roof tiles – Have a long lifespan and require little maintenance. They are available in a varierty of profiles, colours, texutres and patterns and are made from clay or concrete.
